Kurt Rosenwinkel Quartet

The great example for the current generation of jazz guitarists returns with his all star band.

Kurt Rosenwinkel is an important role model for the current generation of jazz guitarists, not only because of his virtuosity, but also because of his open spirit and his successful experiments with rock and hip-hop. His lyrical playing is acclaimed by, among others, Eric Clapton, who gave away one of his iconic guitars to Rosenwinkel, and by The Roots, with whom he performed on The Jimmy Fallon Show. He will perform on our stage with his all-star band featuring star pianist Aaron Parks.

Kurt Rosenwinkel made his break in the band of legends such as Paul Motian, Gary Burton, and Joe Henderson. He worked with famous peers such as Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, and Mark Turner. He continues to explore new vantage points in jazz. For example, last year he released a solo album on baritone guitar (Berlin Baritone), an album with jazz variations on classical compositions by Chopin (The Chopin Project), and even an album where he plays piano (Kurt Rosenwinkel Plays Piano).
