Kairos 4Tet is currently one of the most acclaimed young jazz bands in Britain. The band has the energetic drive that has become synonymous with the emerging UK jazz movement.
The foursome is led by sax player Adam Waldmann, who describes his catchy, dynamic compositions as ‘wordless songs’. Jamie Cullum is a fan and Jazzwise describes the music as ‘bursting with dreamy, hummable melodic themes’.
At the Bimhuis the group will perform with the promising young vocalists Emilia Martensson and Marc O’Reilly.
Adam Waldmann has collaborated with pop stars such as Alicia Keys and Paloma Faith. Pianist Ivo Neame, double bassist Jasper Høiby appeared at the Bimhuis with Phronesis, as they will do on October 17.
Afterwards DJ Welmoed at the café.
The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
