Henk Kraaijeveld

Exactly five years after winning the top prizes at the Dutch Jazz Vocal Competition, Henk Kraaijeveld presents his debut album, Passengers, with, among others, special guest Eran Har Even on guitar.

Henk Kraaijeveld is a singer-songwriter and jazz vocalist who creates compelling music characterized by strong lyrics and surprising improvisations. The songs that make up Passengers are personal stories and reflections on themes such as love, loneliness, power and adventure. For this album, Kraaijeveld formed a new band featuring renowned musicians such as pianist and co-composer Daan Herweg, saxophonist Paul van der Feen (Metropole Orchestra), and, as special guest, the guitarist Eran Har Even.

In early 2013, Henk Kraaijeveld won both the jury prize and the popular vote at the tenth edition of the Dutch Jazz Vocal Competition. The jury praised his relaxed style of performance and his impressive vocal range. Kraaijeveld has studied in New York with, among others, Peter Eldridge (New York Voices) and Phil Markowitz.

Henk Kraaijeveld vocals, Paul van der Feen saxophone, Daan Herweg piano, Tobias Nijboer bass, Joan Terol Amigo drums. Special guest: Eran Har Even guitar
