ESINAM balances between acoustic and electronic, with pulsating beats, energetic flute playing and seductive melodies. The band from Brussels evolved from a solo project of the Belgian-Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist Esinam Dogbatse. As ESINAM, she creates a completely unique musical world full of grooves, melodies, and loops.
At a very young age, Esinam became fascinated by music, especially percussion instruments such as the tama. Piano became her first main instrument, but for practical reasons on the road and on tour, she quickly switched to flute. For her first full-length album Shapes in Twilights of Infinity she selected like-minded musicians, who can now be heard together on stage as well.
