Latin Jazz

Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, Adam Cruz Trio

Boundless jazz by master pianist, star bassist and virtuoso drummer.

Danilo Pérez is known for his astounding piano playing on Grammy-winning albums by jazz legends such as Dizzy Gillespie, Arturo Sandoval and Wayne Shorter. All this experience shines through in his own music, fusing jazz with classical piano, Latin folk and West-African rhythms. On stage it comes alive through the boundless interplay with his main drummer Adam Cruz and a star bassist John Patitucci.

Like his homeland Panama, Danilo Pérez connects two continents in his ‘Pan-American’ music, a colorful mix of North American jazz and Latin American influences. At the age of eight he already started his classical piano training at conservatory. In Wayne Shorter’s band he forged a bond with John Patitucci, bassist behind some of the biggest names in jazz and pop, from Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea to Joni Mitchell and Alicia Keys. Drummer Adam Cruz previously performed on our stage in the bands of Danilo Pérez, David Sánchez and Donny McCaslin.
