Drummer Yoràn Vroom and 16 young musicians take you on an exciting musical journey through experimental jazz and warm-blooded folk music. This concert is the result of two days full of unexpected encounters and experimentation between Yoràn, international students of the Conservatorium of Amsterdam and musical newcomers. The starting points of the Club Partout Labs have been determined, the outcomes uncertain. Ecstasy, alienation and contagious energy go hand in hand. Yoràn is assisted by co-host and percussionist Hashem Kabreet.
Yoràn Vroom is one of the greatest drummers in The Netherlands. He attributes a major part of his development to his studies with drummer Eddy Veldman, and with percussionist Ponda O’Bryan. Yoràn Vroom has collaborated with internationally renowned musicians such as Frank McComb, Ed Motta, and Cory Henry.
Co-host and co-creator of the Club Partout Labs is Hashem Kabreet. The percussionist (frame drums/derbuka/cajon) and handpan player from Syria knows how to guide any diverse group of musicians through the creative process.
