Chris Potter is an absolute role model for young jazz saxophonists all over the world. His spontaneous solos seem like beautifully rounded compositions en are being studied and copied note for note. ‘There’s almost nothing he cannot accomplish on the saxophone’, Downbeat writes. This leading jazz magazine recently voted Potter as best tenor player of the year, including him in the hall of fame next to Sonny Rollins, Joshua Redman and Joe Lovano.

Chris Potter could be heard as a sideman next to Red Rodney, Dave Holland and Pat Metheny. His own band Underground, a true all-star formation, guarantees panoramic electric jazz. Early 2015 sees the release of its new album Imaginary Cities on the ECM label.
