Pianist, keyboard player and composer Bill Laurance is a core member of Snarky Puppy, the band that links jazz, R&B and hip-hop with great success. On his most recent album Cables he proves his worth as a solo pianist, coloring his original compositions with electronic beats and textures. At the BIMHUIS he will add new dimensions to his music with his masterful trio.
Bill Laurance’s composition work extends across a wide range of genres, from film scores to collaborations include with prestigious choreographers and dance companies such as Alvin Ailey, Mathew Bourne and Northern Ballet Theatre. As a classically trained musician and producer he has worked with known performers from rock and jazz, including David Crosby, Salif Keita, Lalah Hathaway, Laura Mvula and Chris Potter.
