AMP FIDDLER

AFTERWARDS DJ THIJS ENTERPRISE AT THE CAFE

Amp Fiddler toetsen/talkbox/zang, Ollice Cooper keyboards, Kenny Mac bas, Derrick Sorrell drums

Funk, soul and electro from Detroit by multi talent Joseph ‘Amp’ Fiddler and band. The ex-Parliament/Funkadelic-keyboardist is known for his collaborations with Prince, J Dilla and Theo Parrish.

A new Amp Fiddler release is always reason to celebrate. Early 2014 saw the release of Basementality 2, featuring guest vocals by Raphael Saadiq. This new chapter continues the Amp Fiddler’s musical path since his album debut Waltz of a Ghetto Fly from 2004: ‘Lush musical arrangements, sweet vocal melodies and jazzy beats with a notable hip hop edge to them’ (Resident Advisor).

Singer, keyboardist and producer Amp Fiddler from Detroit has a special eye for talent: he discovered J Dilla, he helped soul talent Maxwell with his debut and he recently played in the first live band of tech/house innovator Theo Parrish. Additionally, he worked with living legends such as Prince, Sly & Robbie and George Clinton, as the keyboard player of Clinton’s P-Funk orchestra Parliament/Funkadelic.

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020-7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
